When the Italian architect Francesco Palpacelli was commissioned in the late 80's to design this structure at Via di Vigna Murata, in Rome, they said it was meant to be a water center. I think we all know what it's really used for... :-)
It took three years to build, and it might not seem like it, but it's fairly massive, with its ring tank rising over 70 meters above the ground.
